The best way to book a photo shoot appointment is by emailing studio@michelleallenphoto.com or calling 608-230-6070. During winter we only book a week in advance, but for spring, summer and fall we may book up a few weeks in advance. Summer is especially busy and we can book 4-6 weeks in advance so plan to book your summer appointment early.
Take the Madison Beltline (Highway 12/18) to Fish Hatchery Rd and exit heading south. Go about 1.5 miles and look for Walgreens. Take the next right past Walgreens on to Brendan Ave and then an immediate right into the Yarmouth Crossing parking lot. We are next to Laredo's.
Michelle Allen is the photographer who will take your pictures. Michelle will be the one who photographs your session or special events, and not an assiatnt or alternate photographer. However, for weddings and larger events, a trained assistant will accompany Michelle to help capture all your special moments.
In the unlikely event Michelle has a emergency or is very ill we have a list of trained back up photographers we can use if needed.
Michelle likes to shoot in a variety of styles. Generally 50% of the wedding will be in a more formal posed style and 50% will be candid photojournalistic shots. Michelle is open to your suggestions and will photograph your wedding any way you prefer. She even suggests you search the internet and magazines for ideas of wedding images you like and send tear sheets to Michelle that she can add to your file and bring to your wedding day. Michelle's assistant will review tear sheets through out the day and remind Michelle of special shots you are looking for.
For most studio photos your CD can be ready the same day of your shoot. High School seniors have their images uploaded to a website for online viewing and are ready to view about 1-2 days after photo shoot. They will also get a CD of images when they pick up their final package order. Wedding DVDs are ready when the album comes in about 6 weeks after the wedding. If no album is ordered the DVD can be ready for pick up 2 weeks after the wedding.
For the best variety, bring four outfits in different colors. One in cools; blues or greens. One in warms; browns, tans, reds. One in neutral; black and add another color. A pastel or white would work nice, or maybe your prom dress? Jeans and t-shirt are great for outdoor photos.
